As a fellow non English native speaker, I concur with all of the above. But if you only have time for one sentence:

> A poor translation is worse than no translation

An unprepared 40 meter jump onto water? Even if you manage to miss the boat, water is like concrete from that height.

My back of the envelope math says velocity of about 28 m/s — call it an even 100km/h. Yeah seems kinda tough.

There's zero real difference between a meeting ending at :50 dragging over and a meeting ending :00 dragging over.

If anything, a group booking a meeting in the ten minutes in between increases meeting room usage, since the next meeting can now start at :00.

> You should try to make a good thing, that many people would like

Personally, I would care (much) more about making a good thing over doing something many people likes.

I agree , but up to a point. If you want to get paid, get credit, recognition, improve career etc. it's necessary enough people also like it.

This is probably the most densely packed ui I have ever used[1] to rename photos from their EXIF data. It's not pretty, but I prefer this over a ten step wizard.

oh wow, BRU, I had forgotten about that beautiful beast!

Here is another utility that I use every day: https://www.mythicsoft.com/agentransack/information/#screens...

Reminds me of finviz's sorting/selection UI for stocks/funds.

They mention both high temperature durability and conductivity as positives. Not really the most important qualities in a bike frame to be fair.

I doubt it beats aluminium in cost, so it would need to significantly beat carbon in performance to make it worthwhile.

The US president was basically bragging on live TV the other day about disregarding a 9-0 supreme court verdict against his administration.

Following laws is not exactly of the highest priority.

> They thought they voted for something different.

They voted for the leopards to eat other people’s faces, not their’s.

> reduce the tax burden on US citizens

Do you consider the tariffs to be a (tax) burden on US citizens?

Only on those who buy imports.

This seems to assume that everything can be imported or acquired domestically. But tariffs implemented in other countries are much more specific. It makes sense to use tariffs when you have the capability to meet your domestic demand with domestic supply. Indiscriminate tariffs catch things where demand far exceeds domestic production, whether that's raw materials, specific foods, or things that will take a long time to ramp up production domestically.

Ultimately, lots of things manufactured domestically will still increase in price because of the raw materials they require.

Please do explain how one can purchase coffee beans from anywhere but a country close to the equator?

A few reasons come to mind, as a EU citizen:

* The US has repeatedly threatened military invasion of a country (Denmark) near mine.

* The US has basically given Russia the green light to invade the rest of EU when ready.

* Mentioned elsewhere in this thread: The many reports of travellers being detained for weeks.

* The US has recently started an economic war on the entire world, except Russia.

Why would I want to visit?

Thanks for sharing your perspective, but my question is about the proportion of people like you who are thinking about visiting compared to people who are thinking about migrating.
