Living flesh is not meat. Meat is what we call dead flesh.

A living brain is made of neural nano-processors.

Are you familiar with different levels of precision in language, and word play?

This is a matter of perspective. If you were a tiger, you would consider anything that walks or crawls to be "meat".

What special insight do you have into the perspective of a tiger? I think this is anthropomorphization.

When the tiger has killed it, it's dead & is then meat, yes

negative, I am a meat popsicle.

I agree, this point does warrant discussion.

How could DeepMind prove that AlphaGo played its best in match 4 ?

In the last year I have noticed more news articles about this subject. Why this is, I don't know.

Nope. Nope, nope, nope. I will not eat insects or worms because they are associated with disease and death and it makes me want to throw up. There's nothing wrong with that, it's a natural instinct. You might argue that native Australians eat grubs etc, but they are/were living in one of the harshest environments on Earth, at the limits of survival. You will eat anything to survive.

A mostly vegetarian or vegan diet with occasional meat can supply all the nutrients one needs, without the vomit-inducing associations.

Let that be the end of it.

> I will not eat insects or worms because they are associated with disease and death

Do most people associate them with this? I certainly don't.

Yes. This is the point. To what extent can AlphaGo transfer what it has learned in Go to other domains. It was a very smart move to train their first AI on Go!

How is Clojure's interning of keywords different to this ?

Read the article. I assume Clojure uses what the article calls a "global pool".

Kerf's idea of per-object intern pool does not seem as useful for other languages.

Korean cuisine is among the best in the world

Love bibimbap, kimchi, kimchi pancake, and more kimchi

I love the taste of kimchi, too. It's just unfortunate that it has such a low PH. I wonder, how is the dental health of those Koreans who eat so much?

When I read a fiction book I hear a general main narration voice, usually my own but it could be someone else if I know the author was American for example. Then I also hear accents for all the characters in the book, for example many of the characters in the book I'm reading atm are Scottish, and they all have Scottish accents and the women have women's voices while the men have men's.

To those who do not hear an inner voice: I'm really struggling to imagine how the information gets in, how are you actually aware of the information ?

Do you struggle to imagine that people born deaf can read at all?

no, I don't struggle to imagine that they can read, I struggle to imagine what it feels like to them

AFAIA such scanners can only capture the surface of a thing, and cannot gain information about overhangs and occluded surfaces.

For some purposes one needs volume information

What options are there for consumer-level volume scanning using ultrasound ?

nope
