Also, black cards already exist in other sports: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penalty_card

Could they be put in what bitcoin people call "cold storage"? I can't imagine they're used every day.

They're used pretty often, so not really. The KYC providers anyway wouldn't code anything like that.

When AI watermark detection is properly up and running, there may yet be a market here.

As long as the Kenyans don't try and use AI themselves.

Why would AI detection ever be any better in the future than it is today? All the money is on the other side of that arms race.

Because the major labs are stenographically marking their text outputs, similar to how image outputs are already wateremarked.

In the past you could just hire Swiss.

Terry Pratchett:

"You can't give her that!' she screamed. 'It's not safe!'

IT'S A SWORD, said the Hogfather. THEY'RE NOT MEANT TO BE SAFE.

'She's a child!' shouted Crumley.

IT'S EDUCATIONAL.

'What if she cuts herself?'

THAT WILL BE AN IMPORTANT LESSON"

Only Death speaks like that in (GNU) Terry Pratchett's books. I assume he is disguised as "the Hogfather" and the other character is unaware even though it's known to the reader. And I assume Death is there because the girl is about to kill herself with the sword.

Death is there because he is no longer Death, he is the Hogfather.

Someone else has to be Death while he's moonlighting.

Bloody irresponsible thing to do, that, just wander off and work out of scope and expect others to pick up the slack, I don't know, personifications of abstract concepts going off-map just because they feel like it, what's the Disc coming to, eh?

Might well be the ADHD - it seems to be common among neurodiverse people.

More people should read Oliver Sacks' book Uncle Tungsten. As a kid he was allowed to buy real chemicals for his chemistry set and was told things like "can you make slightly less hydrogen peroxide next time". Minors buying pitchblende (Uranium ore) at the local drugstore for experiments? Sure, might encourage them to be scientists.

Depends. Dolls' tea parties aren't violent.

I've seen dolls' tea parties that were absolutely violent when I was a kid, with the dolls ending up insulting each other and/or fighting.

Those who don't lose the fun of hitting things graduate to hitting things with swords and end up in the SCA (not the coffee one).

I see the point about violence but I'm ok with it because it's based on fun and not anger. Olympic archery, javelin, or even fencing have an obvious past in warfare but today they've become sports.

I can only speak for some of the European versions of SCA-like clubs but there's a lot of pride-flag flying strictly-no-fascists fun activity with a dose of pretending to be children again.

(Buhurt is a bit more complicated.)
