Pi is about 3. Pi^2 is about 10. But better than both of these approximations is Pi^2 + Pi = 13, which gives Pi = (-1 + sqrt(53))/2 = 3.1400...
(It's too bad that the combination Pi^2 + Pi occurs basically never.)
