And then when you get to my late parent's age - mid 90s when they died, basically all your peers are dead. Al those people with shared memories of childhood and youth. No one to reminisce with.

They coped with it well, but it must be so weird.




Well, at that point you have your children to do that with too. Just nobody from your own childhood, which I agree must feel pretty sad.

Still, lots of other things to keep you occupied even at that age.
