These exercises should get televized, as is, to give the public a feel for the actual thing. None of the movies I've seen seem to accurately convey what might happen when an asteroid or a comet strikes the Earth, the actions of the goverments prior to that, and the aftermath.

Except perhaps one thing - the first thing the goverments do is lie ("to prevent panic").
