This is speculation, and doesn't add anything to the conversation. Is there a precedent that TLA's conspire with CPU manufacturers to create backdoors like this? Or are you just a conspiracy theorist?
Chris Domas works at Battelle Memorial Institute. Battelle is a "non profit R&D house" that just so happens to hire "retiring" CIA operatives, and work on tons of CIA/NSA contracts.

It’s healthy to speculate about these types of issues. In fact, it’s required. Shadow Brokers fiasco showed us that our overseer class can’t keep their spy tools under control. So why not speculate? I doubt it can be taken too far, my glowing friend.
