Wow, I thought I hated the old design… just wow… I utterly despise this design. It’s positively cloying.
While I have a personal favourite post app on iOS, Downcast, I’ve been writing my own as a way of learning Swift and SwiftUI, as well as the opportunity to scratch a few personal itches with respect to niche uses of playlist type features… This overcast redesign feels like a lesson in what not to do… at least for anyone that has similar tastes in podcast apps to me.
