Introducing PyPI Organizations (pypi.org)

I'm slightly surprised by the direction they seem to be taking here. It seems like they're going to try to use this as a source of funding for PyPI, rather than focus on its potential to bring namespaces to PyPI.

I also wasn't able to find out how much it will cost. Nonetheless, I'm glad to see this development, and will probably be making use of it for the company I work for.

I think this might help a little with the typo-squatting attacks, since it should be easier to filter for the most popular (or all?) organizations in PyPI, and I guess it will be harder for attackers to create malicious projects in an organization.

It would, except that they aren’t using them for namespacing the packages, just as some kind of search tag. E.g.: https://pypi.org/org/pallets/

Is there a description of what exactly an organizational account entails?
