The recent Unrecord demo [0] looks amazingly realistic at parts, but it shows what I think we're still lacking, realistic non-mo-capped human visuals. To my eyes anyway, there's still something very fake about the way characters move their bodies, their eye saccades, their mouths, the way they breathe and tumble, at least in terms of what can be achieved by realtime game physics. Certainly given enough render time, studios can pretty convincingly fool the eye even now.
