Wikipedia is great for many things, but finding neutrality or even attempted objectivity about recent and contemporary events is not one of them. (Then again, it's the nature of the internet I guess). Of course some big events get some splash (like this), but 98% of these shenanigans go unnoticed unfortunately.



Mostly I find Wikipedia a great source for non-scientific information, and, most of all, a fun source to go through all kinds of weird and/or forgotten things. But cases like this are alarming as these are apparently backed by state actors and national laws.


Wikipediocracy and Wikipediasucks.co has so many documentations on Wikipedia shenanigans and occasionally, scandals.
