That's not really that high, maybe for the UK, but again not unheard of

What an incredible amount of private information to publicly spill on the internet. Some “friend”.

I'm a pretty private person myself but I hardly see the issue here. The friend hasn't been named, we have no idea who this person is.

Have you not followed @TizzyEnt?

Ok pretend I’m a bad guy. What bad things can I do with this information that you’re so worried about being leaked?

It is very high for UK, that's the point. You can't just convert currency and compare numbers, things don't work that way

That's how it works now in certain companies in this remote/async world.

It's very, very high for the UK, but pretty normal for the USA.

For a remote IT job?

It’s not unheard of, but no that’s not normal (I guess depending on what “IT job” actually means).

When I hear IT job I imagine moving 12 dell desktops on a moving cart across a campus for $50k a year

For 250k I imagine it's a very stressful sysAdmin/DevOps position where they're expected to be Jack of all trades.

Or it’s a startup with shitloads of cash that’s willing to overpay, as indicated by the person’s immediately preceding salary.

It's high for a UK job, probably somewhat normal for a Bay Area equivalent (source - conduct diligence on tech companies both US and UK and we look at salaries).
