Things to consider:
* Alzheimer might not be a disease, but a syndrome. (several diseases that look about the same)
* Alzheimer's onset might be multifactorial (like diabetes, unlike Hungtington's)
* Everything we know about the pathophysiology of Alzheimer might be wrong. What we believe is right would actually prevent us from making progress. It doesn't help that very loud idiots crave for recognition rather than discovery.
