Major Tesla Investor Rejects Elon Musk's $1T Pay Deal (wsj.com)

Theater, 0% this doesn’t pass, too much to lose if it fails for both sides.

Sure, but why now? $1T is a whole lot of dough, even if it's contingent on meeting some exceedingly unlikely goals. When the vote is pro-$1T-Elon-pay-package, does Norway divest itself of Tesla stock?

Dunno, I wonder if there are conflicts in their like mission statement around how this is all going? On the one hand if Elon leaves, Tesla stock craters back to a normal company. But that kills both investors and Elon. Does Norway divest itself before the correction? Or does Wall street fundamentally sort of ignore the risk for a while, thinking Elon will never truly be gone. Twitter had a different CEO for a while.

In the current market, the professional investors are looking for an excuse to run to the exits. The professional investors are confident they will get there before the retail investors.
