I don't want to live in a country where people are dragged off the street by balaclava wearing government agents and spirited away to detention camps.
It does not matter one jot to me whether the person in charge of these agents is pro- or anti- abortion, pro- or anti- Taylor Swift, pro- or anti- 'woke', or any of the other insane, make-believe culture war touch points.
People have lost their actual god-damn minds if they think balaclava-clad G-men are good actually, because they read some scary tweets about how bad it is that X or Y or Z is happening on the other side of the country. You're the problem, if you've fallen prey to this kind of thinking.
Sorry, does “disarming” here mean “not engaging in illegal authoritarian action”?
I’m not sure what system is being protected in the scenario where everyone is openly and illegally authoritarian. I hope that if Democrats get back into power they will invest in stabilizing democracy and the rule of law, not just attempting to run the same authoritarian playbook for their own benefit.
