Since when is making inoffensive jokes considered trolling? I was amused by the similarity between the words 'homomorphic' and 'homeopathic' so I thought other people might be too.

The number of downvotes my attempt at humour received would suggest that I was wrong.

Oh, HN has a rather strict line on idle jokes. It's not so much that we mind them, but there's a slippery slope into a low signal to noise ratio.

Please pardon my comment about the trolling. Sometimes it's also hard to determine intentions via text-only communication.
