It was simply the test someone else gave me to get my account so I figured it would appropriately filter out the audience. They just wanted to make sure it was very hacker/programmer-centric, I imagine. Such a test is a good filter of that. And if you just google a fizzbuzz solution and send that, obviously its interesting enough you would be motivated to learn some things, and who isn't going to help foster that?
