so I went to an event tonight Hosted at Adobe's building in Lehi Utah, mostly put on by Gild (Thanks to both Adobe and Gild for doing it btw). it was titled "The State of Software Developers and Innovation in Utah for 2014" and it was great. But based on a few questions that were asked and from talking to people after the event it seems like there wasn't a central location for tech/entrepreneurs to find out about events or organizations or anything.

I volunteered to help do some of the marketing with utahgeekevents.com but I was wondering if maybe I should build a site to aggregate or rather to post as a central community would people use it, would it be useful or would it just further dilute the community (which is the opposite of what I want) that said I'm curious which organizations are already out there, which tech businesses are in utah and which (if any) would want to be involved if I did try to start such a community.

Mostly I'm just curious and thought I would throw it out there.
